K-Pop Essentials

In this K-pop Essentials Workshop, taught by Yang Sun, dancers can expect to learn some iconic K-pop moves followed by choreography involving dynamic tempo and formation changes. Workshop will also include a brief history about the evolution of K-pop from the 70s to present day, and will cover dance styles from iconic K-pop groups such as Black Pink, BTS, Big Bang, EXO, Red Velvet, and Katseye.

Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre/Notes in Motion was awarded a grant in the amount of $40,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) to support the nonprofit arts and culture sector. Through New York State’s continued investment in arts and culture, NYSCA has awarded over $80 million since Spring 2023 to over 1,500 artists and organizations across the state.
We are honored to announce that we’ve received a grant from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs’ FY2025 Cultural Development Fund (CDF)!! Art and culture are the heart and soul of New York, contributing to a safer, stronger, more vibrant city. We’re proud to be among 1,078 organizations receiving over $59 million through the CDF - the largest-ever city allocation for the program, thanks to the partnership between the NYC Mayor’s Office and the City Council.
